Gujarat Police’s ‘Citizen First’ App :- Gujarat Police has launched Citizen First App. Through which you can file e-FIR for mobile theft or vehicle theft. Now you don’t have to go to the police station to file a complaint for theft of your vehicle or mobile phone. File a complaint online on this app, the police will contact you within 48 hours of filing the complaint and also inform the insurance company.

- All efforts are being made by the Home Department and Police Department of the Government to maintain law and order well. Also, in order to provide special service to the public, Gujarat Police has launched the Citizen First App, through which you can register a complaint for vehicle theft and mobile theft through e- FIR . The complainant also gets the receipt of registration of e-FIR within just 24 hours through e-Citizen First app. So the action can be started for those who have taken insurance. How will online F.I.R. [Online FIR] ?
The complainant can file an FIR online within the prescribed time limit of occurrence of the incident. For which the government citizen portal [CitiZen Portal] or citizen first application [Citizen First App] has to be used. Online complaint can be filed from this portal or application. After the online FIA is done, the complaint will be forwarded to the police station where the name of the police station area is written. Also, if the name of the police station is not mentioned, then the complaint will be forwarded directly to the Police Commissioner’s office or to the Superintendent of Police’s office. Later from there they will be sent to the affiliated police station for investigation.
The police service will reach the people in a faster and more transparent manner.
The online complaint registration and the progress of the investigation will also be informed to the complainant through Email-SMS. Also, the insurance company will be informed by the police through Email-SMS. So that the plaintiff can easily get the insurance claim regarding his vehicle-mobile theft. With the online service, people will not need to go to the police station to file a complaint. Citizens’ time will be saved and complaints will be disposed of quickly. Thus, this technology driven faceless system will increase the flexibility of citizens and deliver police services to people in a faster and more transparent manner.
