Navratri will start from Sunday 15 October 2023. Navratri will end on 23 October 2023. The festival of Vijayadashami or Dussehra will be celebrated on 24th October. Pratipada date of Ashwin month will start from 11:24 pm on 14 October 2023. This will last till 12:32 pm on October 15. According to Udaya Tithi, Sharadiya Navratri will start from 15th October.

Astrologer told that the festival of Shardiya Navratri falling in the month of Ashwin is celebrated with great pomp. The idols of Maa Durga are enshrined in it. Also, Garba and Ramlilas are organized at many places. Ghatasthapana is performed on the first day of this 9-day long festival and nine forms of Goddess Durga are also worshipped. Fast is also observed during the nine days of Navratri. Mother Durga is worshiped with complete rules.

21 October 2023 – Maa Kalratri (seventh day) Saptami Tithi
22 October 2023 – Maa Mahagauri (eighth day) Durga Ashtami
23 October 2023 – Mahanavami, (ninth day) Sharad Navratri fast break.
24 October 2023 – Immersion of Maa Durga idol, Dashami Tithi (Dussehra)

Sharadiya Navratri importance

Astrologer told that according to religious scriptures, Navratri is the best time to worship Goddess Bhagwati Durga. During these nine days, nine forms of Mother Goddess are worshipped. Every day of Navratri is dedicated to a specific form of Mother, and each form has a different glory. Different desires are fulfilled by each form of Adishakti Jagadamba.
